Jim Byrne

consultant

Jim was born in Minneapolis and grew up in the northwest suburbs. He graduated from St. John’s University with a BS in business administration and minor in accounting. The education, experience, and sense of community he received from St John’s guides much of his decision making today.

After graduation Jim began working at Grazzini Brothers & Company, where he worked his way up to CFO. In 2000, Jim became part owner of the company, served on the board of directors and was trustee on the profit-sharing plan. He retired from Grazzini Brothers in June of 2021 after 39 years.

Jim is the past board chairman of the North Memorial Foundation and currently chair the finance and governance committees. He is executive director of the Randy Shaver Cancer and Community foundation, where he guides them on accounting and grant review.

Jim and his wife, Leslie, have been married since 1987. They have two children and two grandchildren. Jim and Leslie love spending at their cabin in the Crosslake as we can. He also enjoys traveling, hiking, woodworking, and visiting with family and friends.
